What is Person-Centred Therapy?

Person-Centred Therapy is based on the belief that you are the expert in your own life. My role as your counsellor isn’t to tell you what to do, but to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore what matters most to you.

How it Works

Therapy can be serious, but I find that there is often space for laughter and moments of lightness in the heavy.

Therapy can be deep, but it can also be warm, human and real.

You set the pace – We talk about what feels important to you, in your own time.

I listen deeply – I’ll do my best to understand how things feel from your point of view.

No judgement – You are accepted as you are.

Genuine connection – I’ll be honest and real with you, not hiding behind a professional mask.

What You Can Expect

A safe and confidential space to talk.

Support in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

A relationship based on respect and understanding.

Over time, many people find this helps them:

Understand themselves more clearly.

Build self-confidence.

Make choices and changes that feel right for them.

I hope that in our work together, you will start to realise that you don’t need fixing, you were never broken and that you have always been good enough just as you are.

You don’t need to fit neatly into any category to work with me.

Face-to-Face Counselling

Sessions take place in a private, calm, and welcoming room designed to help you feel at ease. Many people value the sense of presence and connection that comes from meeting in person.  The room is wheelchair accessible with a large free car park and easy access to trains and buses.

It is important to me that you feel safe, so I welcome conversations about what you need to feel comfortable and supported. This is your space, not mine. You lead the pace; I walk alongside you.

Online Counselling

Online sessions offer flexibility and accessibility while providing the same level of professional support. You’ll need a quiet, private space and a stable internet connection.

Telephone Counselling

Telephone sessions provide a simple, accessible option if face-to-face or video sessions don’t feel right. Some people find it easier to open up without being seen.
