A Calm Space for Healing
Hello, I’m Nikki.
Welcome
Hi, I’m Nikki.
It takes great courage to consider professional help. I have a background in trauma, anxiety, abuse, PTSD, bereavement, and ADHD and am here to help with whatever is causing you concern in a warm, safe, non-judgmental, supportive place. Therapy with me isn’t about analysing you from a distance, it is about being alongside you and working together to make sense of things.
From one human being to another, I would like to say how proud I am of you for looking for some support. It’s not easy to admit when we might need some help, or to actively seek it out. It’s a really big step. Take your time, you’re in control of what happens next, so do things at your own pace. Trauma can have such an impact on every part of our lives. It’s never easy, but taking the control back is a great step forward.
It may be that you are here because you are feeling exhausted from keeping everything together for too long. Maybe you no longer know who you really are. This can happen after years of wearing masks or trying to fit in with everyone else.
Are you living with anxiety and a brain that is never quiet? A body that doesn’t feel like your own and won’t work properly? Are you always the strong one, the glue, for everyone else and now there is nothing left for you?
You deserve to have someone to tell your story to, someone to truly hear you and see you; somewhere to set down the weight you have been carrying and share the burden with you!
How I Can Help
People come to counselling for many reasons. You might be living with the effects of trauma or chronic stress, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, navigating grief or loss, or struggling with a sense of disconnection from yourself or others.
You may be neurodivergent — diagnosed, self-identified, or questioning — and finding the world exhausting, confusing, or too demanding.
Counselling offers a space to slow down, feel heard, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels safe and genuine.
You don’t need the right words, a diagnosis, or a clear goal to begin.
My Approach
My aim in therapy is to offer you a safe space where you can look at what’s going on for you, explore what you want and find ways to manage this and move on.
The transformations that can happen within counselling can be life changing. When you open up, share, and reflect on the inner workings of your world with someone, amazing things can happen. With the support of the right person, you can understand, process, and overcome the things that have seemed insurmountable for so long.
Therapy with me is calm, collaborative and most importantly, human. I will always be my full, authentic self. Whatever you bring into our sessions, you will be accepted for where you are at and who you are. We can start figuring things out together. Therapy can be serious, but I find that there is often space for laughter and moments of lightness in the heavy. Therapy can be deep and serious, but it can also be warm, human and real.
My work is grounded in Person‑Centred Counselling and shaped by trauma-informed and neuro-affirming principles. At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing happens through relationship — being listened to with care, respect, and without judgment.
I don’t see people as problems to be fixed. Together, we gently explore what has shaped you, what has helped you survive, and what you may need now to feel more grounded, connected, and whole.
What Therapy With Me Is Like
Therapy with me is gentle and steady. No rushing, no pressure to “get it together”, no performance required. You don’t need to arrive with perfect words or a neat story.
If you ramble, lose your thread mid-sentence, freeze, go quiet, honestly, that’s fine. Humans do that. I do that. We work with it, not against it.
Therapy with me is calm, collaborative, and paced around you.
There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for, and no expectation to have everything figured out. We work together at a pace that feels right for you.
Ways of Working
Whether we’re talking face-to-face or through a screen or phone, my focus is on creating a space where your nervous system can take a breath and your shoulders can finally drop a little.
You can choose the option that feels most comfortable and accessible for you. Whichever you choose, you will receive the same level of care, confidentiality, and professional support.
I Offer:
Face-to-face counselling
Online counselling via Doxy.me
Telephone counselling
Testimonials
Nikki is so kind and caring. Her gentleness has calmed me and I have appreciated her words and support. She is warm and accepting and I feel so much better for my sessions
From Abi
Nikki, thank you so much for your help over the past few months. I never thought I’d get through this nightmare but with your patience and help I’m now out of that long dark tunnel.
From Chris
Nikki helped me to find my worth. She is supportive and very, very patient. It has been very special meeting her.
From Maria
Nikki has been very understanding. She has helped me push back my troublesome thoughts to the back of my mind instead of constantly thinking about them. Also she has taught me to love myself more and not feel guilty about having down days. Importantly she managed to keep up with my ADHD brain, my constant chattering and rapid changes of subject! I would highly recommend her.

I feel so fortunate to have worked alongside Nikki during our journey to train as professional counsellors. If there was anyone more suited to supporting adults with warmth and nurture, I haven’t met them yet! Nikki is not only a very positive person, someone that ‘lifts you up’ when you are encountering stumbling blocks, she is also very intuitive. I have witnessed her ability to reach beyond the presenting issues, establishing the connection that a client truly needs in order to begin the healing process. If you are seeking a counsellor who will offer you genuine empathy and care that is centred around you and your needs, I would highly recommend looking to Nikki to support you.
From Becci
I’ve seen a few counsellors and I can honestly say Nikki has been the most compassionate of them all. Her genuine empathy and care is what shone through the most which made me feel heard understood and cared for at a time that I didn’t feel those things from others. This approach is what led to me being able to open up honestly and without holding back. I believe this is what led to the counselling being so successful for me. I’d recommend Nikki to anyone needing a counsellor who truly listens without judgement with genuine care for her clients

Taking the First Step
Starting counselling can feel daunting. It’s completely normal to feel unsure or nervous.
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call so you can get a feel for me and how I work before deciding if I’m the right fit. No pressure, just two people having a chat. You can ask me anything you want and in turn I can share a little more about the way I work.
You don’t have to do this alone.
“You’re welcome to get in touch, even if you’re not sure where to begin.”
